How Wireless Fire Alarm Technology Is Evolving: A Closer Look at Teletek’s Natron Solution

The Growing Demand for Wireless Fire Alarm Systems

The demand for wireless fire alarm systems is rising fast across Europe. Market research shows strong growth and clear movement toward wireless and hybrid technology. According to Data Bridge Market Research, the European wireless fire detection segment is expected to grow by more than 75% between 2024 and 2032. This increase comes from easier installation, faster commissioning and more stable wireless communication (Data Bridge Market Research).

As a result, installations will continue to include more wireless devices. At the same time, the size and complexity of wireless networks will also increase.

Because of this, Teletek is expanding its wireless fire alarm solution to meet future needs.

Natron Wireless Fire Alarm Solutions – now better than ever!

To give customers more flexibility and more room to grow, we strengthened the Natron wireless system with higher capacity across all key components. Providing more devices is not enough on its own. Stability depends on proper balance in every wireless fire alarm installation and device distribution plays a key role in system performance. This is why the number of gateways and repeaters is so important.

In light of this fact, the Teletek Natron series now supports up to 15 Natron gateways in a single installation. Each gateway supports 4 Natron WR repeaters. Together, this creates 60 signal distributing devices in the system. These devices maintain balance across the wireless network and support smooth communication for all 750 wireless devices.

This structure helps the system stay stable even in large buildings with complex layouts.

Wireless Device Addressing Improvement

Managing more than 750 wireless devices requires precision. However, installers still need a simple workflow, and you can rest assured – ease of use continues to be a key benefit of Teletek fire alarm systems.

The new version of the Teletek fire alarm panels includes a smarter addressing feature, allowing installers to set how many addresses the system should reserve for wireless devices. In practice, the system reserves only the number of addresses that matches the actual wireless device count. All remaining addresses stay available for other devices. This improvement makes large installations easier to configure. It also keeps the system organized and scalable.

These updates make Natron stronger, more flexible and ready for the next generation of wireless fire alarm projects.

IMPORTANT:

Reliable operation depends on smooth coordination between all system components. To support this, the newest Natron system parameters are now included in both the Natron gateways and the Teletek fire alarm panels.

The supported firmware versions are:

  • Natron WE Gateway FW 6.3
  • iRIS 4 and iRIS 8 Fire Alarm Panels FW 1.1.8

These versions support the new limits of the Natron wireless solution. As a result, all devices in the system work together in full synchronization. This leads to better communication, easier setup and stable long-term performance.
